Although not yet released today, the owner of the largest cinema network in the UK decided to boycott the film. As reported by Aceshowbiz, Wednesday (24/2/2010), Odeon, owner of 107companies in the UK cinemas does not agree with Disney plans to release a DVD version of 'Alice in Wonderland' after three months of the film was screened at the cinema. Normally the DVD version was released after 17 weeks in theaters. "It will have a negative impact on the number of moviegoers, especially in medium and small theaters. Pause 12 weeks is too short," said a spokesman for Odeon. Not only the Odeon is raised objections to Disney's plans. The film, starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway was also threatened boycott in Italy, Ireland and the Netherlands.
